Arriva a scuola il libro per bambini del Satanic Temple: il caso in Florida
Succede solo in Florida. Nelle scuole pubbliche di Orange County è in distribuzione il “Satanic Children’s Big Book of Activities”, un libro per bambini prodotto dal Satanic Temple. L’opuscolo contiene vignette da colorare, giochi di enigmistica per l’infanzia e molto altro, risultando in tutto e per tutto simili ai libri per le vacanze usati da molte scuole dell’infanzia. Tutto ciò è stato reso possibile da una causa vinta dalla Comunità per il libero pensiero della Florida, che aveva chiesto la possibilità di distribuire materiale non cristiano nelle scuole. Lucien Greaves, il portavoce del Satanic Temple, ha dichiarato che non era mai stato fatto prima nulla di simile in quanto “il tempio crede in una netta separazione tra Chiesa e Stato”. Ha però aggiunto che “nel momento in cui una scuola pubblica permette la distribuzione di opuscoli religiosi, è giusto che agli studenti sia garantito l’accesso alla più grande varietà di opinioni possibili. Siamo sicuri che molti ragazzi saranno incuriositi da quanto offriamo”

Florida Satanic Church Is Now Passing Out Children’s Coloring Books In Public Schools

Have you ever wondered what a Satanic children’s coloring book might look like? Well, thanks to the great state of Florida you can now know for certain.
Behold, the “The Satanic Children’s Big Book of Activities,” a coloring book that is being disseminated across Orange County public schools, according to Raw Story
We first encountered the unusual children’s lit on artnet News, who aptly illuminated this story surely falls into the “only in Florida” category.
The details: Last month a Christian group received permission to distribute Bibles and other religious materials to their students, leading atheist groups to appeal for an equal opportunity. It wasn’t long before the Satanic community hopped on board as well.
“If a public school board is going to allow religious pamphlets and full Bibles to be distributed to students — as is the case in Orange County, Florida — we think the responsible thing to do is to ensure that these students are given access to a variety of differing religious opinions, as opposed to standing idly by while one religious voice dominates the discourse and delivers propaganda to youth,” the Satanic Temple’s spokesperson, Lucien Greaves, explained in a statement.
“I am quite certain that all of the children in these Florida schools are already aware of the Christian religion and it’s Bible, and this might be the first exposure these children have to the actual practice of Satanism. We think many students will be very curious to see what we offer.”
